The Budget Friendly Yet Super Capable Gpu

As I’ve hopefully preached enough on the point of this blog, this article isn’t about the latest greatest benchmarked hardware. It’s about hardware that the lower end of the consumer chain can afford, the computer tinkerers who cant afford a 600 dollar graphics card to run a 4k display at 120+ frames a second. Many are out there like me that have just enough memory to run triple A games and maybe a cpu that was mid end 4 years ago that is still relevant today when running 720p or 1080p games. All of this brings us to a very decent, affordable card I bought a month ago on amazon. The MSI RX460 OC 2gb. I have been a big fan of this line of cards since they came out. I saw it randomly on amazon and the price was 59.99. I purchased it asap. Not much to my surprise in the time I waited on it to deliver ( 2 weeks even with amazon prime) I saw the price jump to 89.99. To me this is very well worth it regardless of the steal I got it at. I have been able to play Big titles such as the witcher 3, Far Cry 5 and many other demanding titles like dead or alive 6 at 1080p with high textures, bloom and many other high tier settings while still achieving 60+ frames per second. I am also a cut rate hacker by night, so I use things like hashcat and other opencl programs. If you aren’t familiar with hashcat it uses your discrete gpu to compute the bruteforcing of passwords on many hash types that are out there. The use of gpu over a cpu in this manner often outputs tens of thousands more tries per second than some of the latest greatest cpus. A dictionary that took me 3 days on my cpu takes less than 3 hours on this sub 100 dollar gpu. Its not the greatest, not the highest tier but if the “more than the price of a current gen console” is too rich for your blood this is definitely a card to shop for!

Full disclosure, this link is apart of the Amazon affiliates link. My articles are in no way written to drive sales but are my true personal opinion. The Links are an after thought to get a small cut If you do decide to go after my choices. Thank you for your time reading my blog, any time invested into what makes me happy is well appreciated
